Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Director Facilities Operations for our client-partners at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in beautiful Louisville, KY, to manage maintenance, custodial, and grounds. Our successful candidate will manage a large budget with a large staff, have excellent time management and leadership skills and mentor our integrated facilities team to positively influence our seminary students and family's well-being and create a healthy learning environment on our faith-based campus. Valid Driver's License with clear background is required. Very strong technical skills with hands on mechanical expertise, a high level of emotional intelligence and strong professional polish are required for success in the role.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership as an experienced FM professional
  • Remain focused on student success and assuring the needs of the students are anticipated and met with a sense of urgency
  • Identify and solve problems proactively by walking through buildings doing inspections and assuring integrated facilities management runs smoothly

What You Bring

  • 5 years of experience at Director Level Facilities Management in a higher education setting
  • Experience building a culture of accountability with strong adherence to Sodexo procedures
  • Experience managing communication multiple times per day with C-Suite level clients
  • Sense of urgency in assuring the needs of the students are anticipated and met
  • Demonstrated history of proactive approach in problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage hands-on mechanical expertise
