Executive Chef 1 – Step Into Leadership | Sodexo @ Purdue Pharma – Wilson, NC

 

Are you a talented Sous Chef, Lead Cook, or Supervisor ready to elevate your career? Sodexo Corporate Services is offering an exciting opportunity for an Executive Chef 1 to lead a dynamic café and catering operation at Purdue Pharma in Wilson, NC.

 

About the Operation: This is a multi-faceted food service environment featuring:

  • A café with 5 stations: Soup, Salad, Deli, Grill, Entrée, plus an Expo station for live cooking
  • Catering services for corporate events and meetings
  • A unique schedule:
    • Café Hours: 7 AM – 2 PM (Breakfast & Lunch)
    • Snacks & Drinks: 2 PM – 7 PM
    • Dinner Service: 7 PM – 9 PM (Monday–Thursday)
    • Grab & Go Self-Checkout: Friday–Sunday

What You'll Do

Your Role: As Executive Chef 1, you’ll be the culinary lead responsible for:

  • Menu planning and recipe adherence
  • Ordering and inventory management
  • Hands-on cooking (80% of your time)
  • Catering production for daily and special events
  • Managing a team of 6 cooks
  • Collaborating on food and labor cost controls with the General Manager
  • Driving quality, consistency, and innovation in every dish

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
