The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing price elasticity, competitive trends, and cost structures to develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize sales, margin, and market share across our convenience retail portfolio. This role partners closely with Category Management, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations to ensure pricing decisions support overall business objectives

 

This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two from home. 

What You'll Do

  • Analyze product- and category-level price elasticity to identify optimal pricing strategies. 

  • Develop, recommend, and implement retail pricing and promotional plans to maximize revenue and margin. 

  • Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and customer price sensitivity within the convenience channel. 

  • Build and maintain pricing models, dashboards, and reporting tools using POS and syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI). 

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions, discounts, and markdowns; provide post-event analysis. 

  • Collaborate with Category Managers, Merchandising, and Finance to align pricing with assortment and supplier funding strategies. 

  • Ensure compliance with company pricing policies, systems, and processes. 

  • Present pricing insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, actionable manner.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus. 

  • 3–5+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, category management, or related analytical roles (convenience retail, grocery, QSR, or CPG preferred). 

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker). 

  • Experience with pricing optimization software (Revionics, DemandTec, SAP Pricing, or similar) a plus. 

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and translate findings into actionable insights. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with shifting priorities.
