Are you a strategic, hands-on leader ready to launch and manage a brand-new dining experience? Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a General Manager to oversee a dynamic food service operation at Markel in Glen Allen, VA.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead:

  • A newly opened café and coffee bistro
  • A conference dining center serving high-level corporate clients
  • A dedicated team of 7 staff members, including an Executive Chef

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you’ll be the strategic and operational leader of the account, responsible for delivering exceptional service and driving business results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Full financial oversight of food and labor costs
  • Forecasting and planning to meet operational goals
  • Menu development and costing in collaboration with culinary leadership
  • Catering management for daily service and special events
  • Ensuring HACCP compliance and food safety standards
  • Providing constructive feedback and mentorship to team members
  • Building strong client relationships and managing day-to-day operations
