Role Overview

InReach is seeking a Senior Manager Segment Finance 

 

This is a remote role with the preferred candidate residing on the East Coast

 

The Sr Manager, Segment Finance will help to oversee and manage the operational finance and accounting functions within the InReach organization. This role involves ensuring accuracy and compliance in all operations, preparing and analyzing financial reporting and KPIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company’s strategic goals. The Sr Manager, Segment Finance will report to the segments Operational Finance Director and will be pivotal in driving financial efficiency and integrity across operations. Some travel will be required based on business needs.

 

What You'll Do

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and distribution of multiple Finance KPIs. Work with operations team to understand and explain monthly financial variances.
  • Operational Support: Work with operations teams to assist with any issues finance or accounting-related questions or concerns.  Work with key branch operation leaders to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular internal reviews / analysis as needed.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate between finance and operational teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Monitor and report on financial performance against targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, procurement, and accounting, to support business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and refine financial reporting and KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information and insights to senior management and other stakeholders. Provide recommendations for financial improvements and strategic decisions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of financial experience with the day-to-day financial operations of a mid-to-large sized company, including at least 3 years in a managerial or director-level role.  
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, including ability to dissect operational P&Ls. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills – including ability to interact and report with senior management.
  • Advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to use data warehouse query tools.  Working knowledge of Cantaloupe SEED software is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
