Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3, Food for Frederick Living, an upscale continuing care retirement community located in Zieglerville, Pennsylvania, nearby King of PrussiaThe General Manager will oversee the dining operations serving approximately 370 residents, mainly independent living.  Operations include 6 dining rooms, a retail bistro, breakfast cafe, C-store and catering.  This role demands a strategic leader with a passion for hospitality, operational excellence, and team development.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver a high-quality dining program across multiple venues;
  • Lead a team of 4 managers, one Clinical Dietitian and approximately 50 hourly employees.
  • Implement Sodexo systems and programs, and oversee training of staff;
  • Drive employee engagement and resident satisfaction through strong leadership skills;
  • Integrate fully within our client's organization and be a trusted adviser with a customer service focus;
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • Create a positive environment; and
  • Ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

What You Bring

  • Proven leadership in a multi-outlet food service operation;
  • Prior food service management experience in a healthcare / senior dining environment;
  • A dietary manager certification (CDM) is needed or must be CDM eligible (Associates degree or higher in Food Service Management or Hospitality) or willing to obtain within one year of hire;
  • Strong financial acumen;  
  • Strong knowledge of safety and sanitation compliance;
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • working knowledge of Food Management Systems and proficiency in computer skills and report management.
