Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to support University Hospitals’ Ambulatory Clinics across Northeast Ohio. This role requires frequent travel to multiple outpatient and specialty clinic locations, providing hands-on support to ensure medical equipment remains safe, reliable, and fully operational.
As part of Sodexo’s expanding Healthcare Technology Management division, we are looking for a solution-oriented professional with a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently across a variety of care environments.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of biomedical and clinical equipment in ambulatory care settings.
Travel to multiple clinic locations across Northeast Ohio, ensuring timely response to service needs.
Document all service activities thoroughly in the CMMS system, following established HTM procedures and compliance standards.
Communicate effectively with clinical teams to ensure equipment needs are met and service expectations are exceeded.
Prioritize and manage a mobile service workload, working independently to resolve mechanical and technical issues.
Assist with incoming equipment checks, device installations, and basic system integrations across clinic sites.
Support safety initiatives, equipment readiness, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Collaborate with fellow HTM team members to maintain consistency and high quality across all ambulatory locations.

Strong mechanical skills required; ability to diagnose and repair equipment with precision and reliability.
Prior experience working with biomedical or electromechanical equipment preferred.
Customer-service–driven mindset with excellent communication skills.
Ability to travel daily throughout Northeast Ohio; valid driver’s license required.
Technical training in Biomedical Equipment, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, or related field preferred.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mobile service environment.

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified
