Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Dietitian to serve as the System Clinical Nutrition Manager for Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), proudly part of Jefferson Health. Located in Allentown, PA, this expansive healthcare system includes 15 hospital campuses and 38 health centers and physician practices. This leadership role offers the opportunity to elevate Clinicia, Sodexo’s global brand for clinical and patient nutrition, across a large, diverse network.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the development, implementation, and evaluation of Clinical Nutrition Services and programs across Jefferson Health/LVHN  
  • Travel to sites throughout the LVHN system approximately 80% of the time
  • Lead and inspire a team of 70+ dietitians and 5 Clinical Nutrition Managers, fostering professional growth and high performance
  • Champion the role of dietitians by empowering them to practice at the top of their credential
  • Elevate and maintain Clinicia by recommending evidence-based enhancements, identifying resources, and supporting implementation
  • Encourage and empower dietitians to engage in nutritional science research and PI studies
  • Develop and refine operating standards, policies, procedures, protocols, and tools to support consistent, high-quality clinical services
  • Provide strategic and clinical nutrition leadership to ensure best practices in patient nutrition and compliance with evolving standards
  • Lead Performance Improvement and Quality Management initiatives
  • Ensure full compliance with The Joint Commission, state regulations, and other regulatory requirements
  • Cultivate relationships and strengthen their existing web of influence o propel the Clinicia program forward
  • Collaboration of menu development with HealthTouch programmer

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian credentials, acute care clinical experience, and at least 10 years of progressive leadership and managerial experience
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, drive program development within service lines, and foster a culture of excellence across the continuum of care
  • Exceptional communication, customer service, and time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and optimize resources to ensure efficient operations
  • Deep understanding of regulatory accreditation, readiness, and maintaining standards of care
  • Strong financial acumen related to the development of budgets, month-end billing, and cost control procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire


Minimum Management Experience - 10 years management experience
Minimum Functional Experience - 10 years related functional experience
