About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and polished Catering Manager to lead high-touch, upscale catering operations for one of our most prestigious VIP clients in New York City. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role where your passion for hospitality and excellence will shape unforgettable experiences.

You’ll oversee every aspect of catering — from concept and menu development to flawless on-site execution — ensuring seamless coordination between culinary, service, and client teams. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where your leadership, creativity, and attention to detail will directly shape the client experience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of on-site and off-site catering events
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the VIP client, building trust-based relationships
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to design seasonal, creative, and client-focused menus
  • Manage event logistics including staffing, equipment, timelines, and communications
  • Inspire and train service teams to deliver elevated hospitality and presentation
  • Maintain budget oversight, cost control, and accurate post-event reporting
  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment with The Good Eating Company’s standards
  • Partner with operations and marketing to develop unique activations and experiences

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in catering management, hospitality operations, or fine dining leadership
  • Proven success in high-end, client-facing service environments (corporate or luxury hospitality preferred)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
  • A refined eye for detail and design — from table settings to guest flow
  • ServSafe certification and familiarity with NYC DOH regulations preferred

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in catering, food production, or food service management or a related field
