The Campus & Government Operations Support Team is composed of versatile, high-performing managers who are deployed to support new account start-ups and client locations experiencing staffing or operational transitions. In this role, you will step into interim leadership assignments, provide hands-on operational guidance, and help stabilize teams and service delivery — becoming a trusted resource and partner across multiple sites.

This position requires 100% travel, flexibility to work hours based on the needs of the business and a valid, clean driver's license.

What You'll Do

  • Provide interim leadership and operational oversight for Facilities Management services across campus, ensuring continuity and high performance during periods of transition
  • Lead, support, and develop facilities managers and frontline teams, fostering an accountable, safety-focused, and service-oriented culture
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with campus and client leadership, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner
  • Conduct facility walkthroughs and inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs, assess building conditions, and ensure smooth execution of integrated facilities services
  • Oversee daily operations and long-term planning across multiple FM service lines, which may include maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, asset and project management, environmental services, grounds, and energy management
  • Manage operational and financial performance to meet client expectations, contractual commitments, and Sodexo business objectives
  • Represent Facilities Operations at senior leadership levels, communicating planning recommendations, operational updates, and strategic priorities

What You Bring

  • Strong financial acumen, excellent budget reporting skills and discipline
  • Strong technical and software skills are critical to success in the role
  • Experience working with 3rd party contract is preferred
  • Senior level direction for all major facilities projects
  • The ability to interview, train and develop staff timely to assure succession planning
  • Demonstrated history of enhancing facilities goals and objectives, allocating resources, controlling operating expenses, and ensuring efficient operation of all departmental functions  
  • Experience leading renovation and construction projects and coordinate and engage architects and structural engineers
  • Experience managing operating expenses, construction projects, major renewal and replacement projects securing funding
  • Valid Driver's License, ability to drive, and clear background required
  • The ability to travel 100% of the time to assignments throughout the U.S. with rotation schedules being 10 days on, 4 days off or 5 days on, 2 days off depending on the needs of the business

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years 

Minimum Functional Experience - 5 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending) or HTM
