Role Overview

Sodexo Live's! Airport Lounge Segment has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Human Resources Manager, supporting our prestigious United Airlines client lounges throughout the East Coast, South, and Midwest.  This position is based in the Midwest, preferably Cleveland, Dallas, or Tampa, with access nationally for our clients.  We are also looking for candidates with employee and labor relations experience, excellent customer service skills, and great time management/managing multiple priorities.  This position will be home based remote with up to 30% travel throughout the region.  Candidates with prior hospitality experience a plus (airport, hotel, restaurant).

What You'll Do

  • Significant understanding of various federal and state law, particularly the application of California labor law
  • Respond to inquiries regarding HR plans, programs & policies.
  • Union experience highly preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish highly preferred.
  • Educate managers and employees on policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve employee issues and recommend resolutions, based on policy, as appropriate.
  • Involve those necessary based on incidents; HR People Center, legal, etc. If applicable, management of union employees; understanding of all contract rules/policies, and management of arbitration.
  • Provide direction to managers and employees on implementation of HR plans, programs, policies, and training.
  • Act as the primary consultant on various HR initiatives.
  • Proficient computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as the ability to learn additional computer programs as needed;
  • Complete special projects based on business needs regarding human resources data and analysis; 
  • Ability to engage in a variety of cultures as this role will interface with a diverse client base and employee population.
  • Oral, written and presentation skills

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is a team player, with high attention to detail, proactive mindset and has excellent communication & interpersonal skills to interact with employees and stakeholders. 

Must have proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar role. 

Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or travel industry preferred.

Some experience with unions and labor relations.

Strong understanding of Federal Labor Laws.

Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred for this role.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years          

Minimum Functional Experience – 2 years in HR
