Grounds Manager 3

Sodexo is hiring our skilled Grounds Manager to lead landscaping operations for the Nixa School District in Missouri. Our Leader will be self-motivated, a team player and adaptable to constant changes in priorities. 

The successful candidate will mentor a team of 9 grounds professionals, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance across 9 district properties. EPA Certification for pesticides is required for this position. Valid driver’s license with clear background. Typical schedule is M-F Days, with flexibility for earlier shifts for ice and safety management. Focus on exceptional attention to detail and being fully accountable for the team's performance are critical to success in the role. Experience managing Synthetic Turf and 3-5 years of demonstrated history of managing a top performing team are preferred.

• Have a Valid Driver's License with clear background

• Focus on curb appeal, team safety, and strategic ice and snow management 

• Maintain our new indoor football field keeping the facility pristine at all times

• Schedule and monitoring employee performance progress with a focus on safety
• Have or obtain within 90 days, the EPA Chemical Application Certification

• Demonstrated experience managing a grounds crew
• Excellent attention to detail and consistent follow up
• Positive, can-do attitude that buys into the institutional goals
• Valid Driver's License with clear background is required
• Problem solving skills to identify and resolve problems efficiently
•  Experience Implementing team training in the areas of ice prevention, safety, horticulture, irrigation, proper pruning, and turf management including synthetic turf maintenance
• The ability to work hands-on side by side with the team for typical grounds management including lifting, standing, sitting and working with grounds management equipment for the duration of the typical work shift

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years
