Role Overview

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a General Manager 4, Food, for Artman Lutheran Home located in Ambler, Pennsylvania, nearby Philadelphia.  This is a 200 resident assisted living and skilled care facility with neighborhood style dining rooms.  The General Manager will report to the District Manager and manage 4 managers with a total hourly staff of approximately 30 employees.

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations (7satellite kitchens with neighborhood style dining rooms, cook to order);
  • deliver high quality food service;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals (fee account);
  • develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships;
  • develop strategic plans;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

What You Bring

  • five or more years previous food service management experience at a director/ general manager level, ideally in a healthcare environment; 
  • a culinary background;
  • a dietary manager's certification (CDM) or equivalent is needed or must be willing to obtain within one year; 
  • a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
