Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Facilities/Engineering Operations  Manager 2 for an Oil & Gas client in Covington, LA.  This position supports this progressive organization by providing leadership for our Facilities team in the delivery of safe, sanitary, and innovative services to our customers. What You'll Do

  • Demonstrate experience in leading and managing complex facilities management services, including effectively communicating and working with stakeholders to establish and maintain effective working relationships and deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Provide leadership and direct activities for the delivery of workplace services, operations, and asset planning, maintenance, and repair with accountability for the overall delivery of site management, including building services, hard services, energy management, and environmental health & safety
  • Communicate effectively with Sodexo leadership team and client partners regarding contracts, scope changes, future planning needs, develop and implement strategies for their Facilities teams, and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Responsible for entire account when the Director of Facilities Ops is not present.
  • Manage by walking around (rounding); Staffs, trains, and is responsible for employee development, client interface; payroll oversight; budgetary oversight on some services; oversees and coordinates projects, manages work orders/CMMS, mechanicals (i.e. HVAC) and QA and Safety.

What You Bring

  • Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, and energy management
  • Previous experience managing facilities maintenance projects
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen
  • Excellent customer service, relationship building, and communication skills
  • Facilities management experience within a manufacturing or production environment in the health care/pharmaceutical industry

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 5 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
