Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a strong Executive Chef for the United States Coast Guard in New London Connecticut.  The Executive Chef will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day oversight of all culinary operations for the Coast Guard Academy Dining Facility.

Each year, approximately 200 graduates are commissioned as Coast Guard officers to help ensure the safety, security, and stewardship of our nation’s waters. What You'll Do

  • manage the daily food production including production planning and controls;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
  • manage food costing, controls and compliance;
  • have high expectations for customer service and quality of food;

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
