Sodexo is seeking a Special Event Planner Manager to support a High-End Corporate Client that rapidly growing.
The Event Manager is a creative and highly organized professional responsible for designing, managing, and executing a wide range of employee events. This role is crucial for fostering a vibrant and inclusive company culture by leading key programs, including Employee Resource Group (ERG) events, celebrations for our various offices (RO celebrations), and annual company-wide celebrations. The Event Lead will manage every stage of the event lifecycle, from concept and design to promotion and post-event analysis.
This is an ON-SITE position that will require up to 20% travel between sites. Candidates must reside near Mountainview, CA.
Event Design & Management
Lead the design and management of all ERG Waymo Wednesday events, ensuring each is thoughtfully curated to celebrate and support our diverse employee communities.
Oversee the design and management of RO celebrations, creating meaningful and memorable experiences for our sites.
Lead the design and management of non-ERG holiday celebrations, fostering a spirit of community and fun across the workplace.
Direct the design and management of the annual End-of-Year celebration, a high-profile event that brings the entire company together.
Provide comprehensive event support for non-GPS (Global Programs and Services) events, ensuring they meet our standards for quality and execution.
Project Management
Manage all event projects from ideation to completion, including setting clear timelines, deliverables, and delegating roles and responsibilities to team members and stakeholders.
Oversee all event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accountability in achieving defined goals.
Develop and maintain strong vendor partnerships, negotiating contracts and managing logistics to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Event Marketing & Communications
Serve as the primary owner of all event-related communications, including calendar invites, detailed emails, chat announcements, and digital/physical signage.
Develop and execute a comprehensive event marketing plan to maximize attendance and engagement for all events.
Craft engaging and clear messaging that captures the spirit of each event and provides attendees with all the necessary information.

3+ years of experience in event planning, management, or a related role.
Proven experience in designing and executing a wide range of events, from small gatherings to large-scale celebrations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of successful event marketing materials.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including ERG leads, senior management, and vendors.
