Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Equipment Management Solutions (PEMS), Operations Manager 2 for our client, Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, California. Stanford University Medical Center is a medical complex which includes Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children's Health. It is consistently ranked as one of the best hospitals in the United States and serves as a teaching hospital for the Stanford University School of Medicine.  

 

Our Healthcare Patient Equipment Management Solutions teams work to ensure delivery of patient equipment; and provide exceptional logistics and supply chain solutions.  These teams also have responsibility for driving client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service via effective communication with all levels of hospital staff, as well as follow-through with action items that impact both client and patient satisfaction.  Experience in Environmental Services Management within a hospital is highly desirable.  

 

Are you an experienced Patient Equipment Manager or Environmental Services Manager?

 

What You'll Do

  • maintenance and inspection of transport equipment, as well as related logistics, documentation and reporting
  • rounding to assure client expectations are met and that we are performing tasks in a timely manner. 
  • creating a positive patient experience by setting the tone and culture of patient expectations, including the provision of concierge transport services, through a compassionate bedside manner
  • responsible for driving patient satisfaction scores
  • provides a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff
  • works with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director
  • effectively manages the Unit Operating System
  • supports a diverse and inclusive workforce

What You Bring

  • knowledge of patient transport services and/or environmental services in a healthcare setting;
  • knowledge of inventory; supply chain management; asset management within a hospital environment 
  • the ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management;
  • experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines;
  • proficiency with computers and other technology;
  • strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion;
  • strong hospitality or customer service demeanor
  • ability to work a first shift; 4:00am to 1:00pm, Sunday to Thursday.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in functional areas such as call center technology, computer applications, process improvement, or related areas
