Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to support Millard Public Schools in Omaha, NE. In partnership with Sodexo Schools, you’ll help meet the nutrition needs of more than 23,000 students by serving as the district’s nutrition expert. This Registered Dietitian will provide nutritional guidance and menu support to our operations team and frontline managers as the nutrition expert for the school district. 

 

This year-round position is a great opportunity for new RDs, as well as experienced Dietitians!

 

3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days!

What You'll Do

  • Have ownership of menu planning, nutrition analysis, and manage the nutrition database
  • Conduct quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure compliance with federal and state child nutrition regulations
  • Partner with nurses, kitchen staff, and parents on special diet procedures
  • Train and support staff on PrimeroEdge nutrition software
  • Address nutrition needs related to allergies, weight management, disordered eating, and other medical conditions
  • Participate in health fairs, community events, and deliver presentations

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)   

 

Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire  

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
