Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to support culinary operations at Hoag Hospital Irvine. This role assists the Executive Chef in driving daily production, maintaining high food quality standards, and supporting a strong, engaged culinary team within a high‑profile healthcare environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent, high‑quality food production
  • Assist with menu execution, recipe compliance, and culinary standards
  • Train, guide, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain performance and efficiency
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements

What You Bring

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or strong culinary supervisor in a high‑volume environment
  • Solid culinary skills with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Ability to support staff leadership, training, scheduling, and workflow coordination
  • Knowledge of HACCP, food safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
