Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Clinical Dietitian to join the team at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital in Defiance, OH—a 25‑bed acute care hospital serving the healthcare needs of communities across six counties. The Clinical Dietitian will provide medical nutrition therapy, conduct nutrition assessments, and deliver patient education in alignment with clinical and regulatory standards.
 
The 20‑hour‑per‑week schedule is flexible to support 72‑hour patient consults and includes the option to work up to 8 hours remotely every two weeks. Both new graduates and experienced dietitians are encouraged to apply.
 
Salary listed is the full‑time annual rate and will be prorated based on the number of hours worked.

What You'll Do

  • Utilize the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, and treat inpatients
  • Collaborate effectively as a dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver and manage high-quality nutrition care
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and families and deliver staff education to support the safe and effective care of clients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities

What You Bring

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
