Role Overview

Sodexo Corporate Services: Washington, DC

Food should be more than fuel — it should be an experience worth discovering, savoring, and sharing. We bring thoughtful, chef‑driven cuisine to the workplace, transforming corporate dining into something modern, delicious, and memorable.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Executive Chef who leads with creativity, craft, and hospitality. In this hands‑on role, you’ll shape the culinary identity of the program, curating upscale dining experiences that delight our clients and reflect a commitment to fresh, local, scratch‑made food.

As an Executive Chef with Sodexo, you’ll champion seasonality, inspire your culinary team, and partner closely with our client to grow and evolve the program. This is a role for a chef who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and elevating workplace dining into something extraordinary.

We are uncompromising about quality, passionate about local products, and committed to being best in class. We’re seeking a culinary leader who shares that mindset — someone who can inspire excellence, build a culture of creativity, and deliver food that people genuinely look forward to.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Back-of-House Strategy: Lead purchasing, inventory, and food cost management with precision. Your production forecasting expertise keeps operations smooth, efficient, and consistently prepared.
  • Raise the Culinary Bar: Protect the integrity of every dish by ensuring recipes, execution, and quality consistently meet — and exceed — client expectations.
  • Inspire and Develop Your Team: Lead with purpose. Coach and motivate your brigade to embrace innovation, sharpen their craft, and stay ahead of emerging culinary trends.
  • Champion Safety and Operational Excellence: Maintain an inspection-ready kitchen through rigorous safety, sanitation, and compliance standards while leveraging smart technology and automated systems to drive efficiency.

What We Offer

Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training. Sodexo offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision Care and Wellness Programs
  • 401(k) Plan with Matching Contributions
  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
  • Career Growth Opportunities and Tuition Reimbursement

More extensive information is provided to new employees upon hire.

What You Bring

  • Culinary Artistry: A rock-solid background in high-end kitchens and a finger on the pulse of modern food trends. You don’t just follow the curve; you stay ahead of it.

  • Visionary Leadership: Exceptional communication skills and the authority to command a kitchen while maintaining uncompromising culinary standards.

  • Team Leader: A natural talent for coaching and helping others grow. You know how to take a talented crew and turn them into a high-performance unit.

  • Fuel for Innovation: A genuine, infectious passion for food. You thrive on experimenting with new flavors and bringing creative concepts to life.
