Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 1 to join our food operations team at Gracedale County Home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. In this hands-on role, the Executive Chef 1 will work closely with and report to the Executive Chef 3.  Will cook daily and oversee a team of approximately 8 culinary staff members. This is a great opportunity to grow your culinary career!  This position typically follows a 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. schedule, with every other weekend coverage.  

What You'll Do

  • oversee the daily food production serving approximately 550 skilled care residents;
  • assist with ordering and inventory management;
  • train and mentor cooks;
  • build strong client relationships while meeting the expectation of the client as well as Sodexo;
  • a strong supervisory/management skillset.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
