Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Food Manager 1 to support retail food operations at Kaiser Permanente in Modesto, California. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a healthcare environment, is passionate about food service excellence, and enjoys developing teams while delivering a positive customer experience. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, high service standards, and a welcoming retail environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Do

  • Experience in retail food or food service management, ideally within healthcare, corporate, or high‑volume environments
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and support frontline teams
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality, service, and continuous improvement
