Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager 2 to support food and nutrition operations at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. This role plays a critical part in delivering a high-quality patient dining experience while ensuring compliance with sanitation, safety, and clinical nutrition standards.

 

The Patient Services Manager 2 will interact daily with patients, clinical partners, and client leadership, oversee frontline kitchen and service staff, conduct rounding, and audit service areas for cleanliness and regulatory compliance. What You'll Do

  • Conduct daily patient rounding, ensuring satisfaction with meals, service, and overall dining experience
  • Serve as a key liaison with clients, clinical staff, and hospital leadership
  • Oversee and support kitchen and patient service staff, including daily operations, schedules, and service execution
  • Audit patient service and kitchen areas for sanitation, safety, and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, HACCP, Sodexo policies)
  • Support implementation of therapeutic diets and nutrition-related services in partnership with dietitians
  • Use technology and reporting tools to track performance metrics, patient feedback, and service outcomes

What You Bring

  • Dietitian or Nutritionist background strongly preferred, or significant exposure to clinical nutrition services
  • Food service experience in healthcare or similar regulated environments
  • Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Intermediate or higher technical/computer skills, including comfort with reporting tools, email, and basic systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and clients
  • Demonstrated commitment to sanitation, safety, and patient-centered service

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
