Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Food Manager 1 to support retail food operations at Kaiser Permanente in San Jose, California. This role is ideal for a customer-focused leader who enjoys overseeing cash-handling retail environments that include branded concepts, in-house formats, and signature designs. The Retail Food Manager 1 plays an important role in maintaining food quality, service standards, and positive customer relationships in a healthcare setting.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain food quality and customer service standards across retail food operations
  • Support cash control processes and assist with maintaining payroll records
  • Assist with financial and HR-related functions as needed
  • Build customer satisfaction and positive public relations through consistent service and communication

What You Bring

  • Experience working in a cash-handling retail food operation with a focus on customer service and food quality
  • Familiarity with branded concepts, in-house dining formats, and signature retail designs
  • Basic knowledge of cash control, payroll processes, and HR-related support functions
  • The ability to provide guidance and oversight to a small team, supervising fewer than two full-time employees
