Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Human Resources Support Specialist II to support HR operations at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. This role serves as a key administrative and compliance support partner to site leadership, ensuring accurate HR processes, personnel data integrity, and a positive employee onboarding experience in a healthcare environment.

The HR Support Specialist II will play an integral role in maintaining compliance with employment regulations and Sodexo policies while supporting employees throughout the employment lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain personnel files and employee data in accordance with Sodexo policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards
  • Support pre-employment and onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, orientation coordination, and system entry
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations, HR policies, and documentation requirements
  • Process and verify employment eligibility using E-Verify (preferred experience)
  • Provide HR systems support, including data entry, updates, reporting, and audits
  • Assist employees with benefits information and general HR inquiries; escalate complex issues as appropriate
  • Partner with site leadership and HR partners to support staffing changes, terminations, and employee status updates

What You Bring

  • 1–2 years of Human Resources experience or equivalent administrative HR support experience
  • Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment regulations
  • Experience maintaining personnel files and confidential employee data
  • Familiarity with HR systems and data management
  • Experience supporting pre-employment and onboarding processes
  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration (preferred)
  • E-Verify experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
