Sodexo is seeking two full-time Registered Dietitians to work as a Regional Temporary Travel Dietitian in the clinical setting.
This position will primarily work in the acute care setting as an inpatient dietitian in the San Francisco Bay Area at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, a 167-bed full‑service acute care hospital located in Martinez, California. The facility is within the East Bay portion of the San Francisco Bay Area. 
CCRMC serves as the primary hospital for Contra Costa Health, is a central hub for the county’s healthcare system. Martinez, CA offers a more relaxed, suburban setting while remaining easily accessible to major Bay Area cities, allowing clinicians to enjoy both professional fulfillment and work‑life balance within a diverse healthcare environment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide inpatient clinical nutrition care in an acute care hospital setting, including nutrition assessments, diagnosis, interventions, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient-centered care and clinical outcomes.
  • Cross-train to support diet office operations, including meal service coordination and compliance with diet orders
  • Support coverage needs as a Travel Dietitian, adapting quickly to site-specific workflows and patient populations
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory, hospital, and Sodexo standards
  • Work primarily weekday schedules, with flexibility to assist with weekend coverage as needed

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian (RD or RDN) credential
  • Experience or strong interest in acute care / inpatient clinical nutrition
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to succeed in a travel role supporting healthcare facilities as needed
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with comfort navigating multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to cross-train and support diet office functions as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
