Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at the STIHLS manufacturing campus in Virginia Beach. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced corporate dining environment and enjoys developing people, menus, and operations.

About the Operation

The food program includes:

  • One full-service café offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Open fronm 5:30am to 10pm)
  • Micro-Market located within the café (open 24/7 self check-out)
  • Catering services supporting on-site meetings and events

Incentives

M-F 6am to 4pm with some evenings, very rare weekends

What You'll Do

As the Executive Chef, you will serve as the site’s senior culinary leader, overseeing all kitchen operations and setting the standard for food quality, creativity, and service excellence.

 

You will:

  • Lead and mentor a culinary team of 10 hourly cooks
  • Direct and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager, who oversees much of the daily cooking
  • Be hands-on approximately 40% of the time, actively supporting production and service
  • Own menu planning, food ordering, and inventory management
  • Ensure strong control of food and labor costs
  • Oversee catering production and execution
  • Utilize computer systems for ordering, inventory, scheduling, and reporting

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
