Role Overview

Sodexo is hiring our Director of Custodial Services for a portfolio of K‑12 school districts in the northwest Atlanta region. In this role, our successful leader will manage custodial operations across multiple schools. This role is both operational and relationship‑driven: you’ll oversee district accounts, while serving as a trusted advisor to school boards, administrators, parents, and community stakeholders. You’ll shape service delivery, mentor future leaders, and ensure that sanitation standards support safe, healthy learning environments for thousands of students. This is a potential sale and contingent offers will be made.

What You'll Do

  • Lead custodial operations across our K‑12 district accounts, ensuring consistent quality, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with district leaders, school boards, and community stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop managerial staff, creating a strong succession pipeline for the region.
  • Present operational updates, sanitation plans, and performance metrics to school boards and parent groups.
  • Oversee staffing, budgeting, and operational planning for accounts ranging from $1.5M to $4M in annual volume.

  • Demonstrated success as a Director‑level custodial leader within a K‑12 school environment.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong client relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing managers for long‑term growth and succession planning.
  • Confidence presenting to school boards and addressing parent/teacher concerns about sanitation and safety.
  • Operational expertise managing multi‑site custodial programs with significant budget responsibility.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 5 years
