InReach is seeking a Route Scheduling Coordinator located in Austin, TX

InReach is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Route Optimization & Logistics Scheduler to support and improve our vending and micro market operations. This role focuses on using data, logistics planning, and route optimization to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize driver productivity across our national network.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and leverages technology to drive smarter decisions. You’ll play a key role in improving route efficiency, supporting KPI goals, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across diverse regions.

This position collaborates with branch teams nationwide and requires adaptability to varying geographic and operational challenges.

This is an on-site opportunity, Hours 7am-3:30pm

What You'll Do

Logistics & Route Optimization

  • Design and continuously improve service and delivery routes using real-time data.
  • Optimize routes to reduce drive time, fuel, and labor costs while increasing service capacity.
  • Balance workloads and adjust routes based on operational needs (inventory, traffic, staffing, customer priorities).
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance performance and profitability.
  • Support KPI goals through route and productivity optimization.

Systems & Data Management

  • Use VMS, routing software, and reporting tools to monitor performance.
  • Analyze route metrics, sales trends, and service data to drive scheduling decisions.
  • Maintain accurate system data and support forecasting and planning.
  • Troubleshoot routing/system issues with internal teams.

Cross-Regional Support

  • Partner with branch teams nationwide to address unique logistics and routing challenges.
  • Adapt strategies to regional differences while helping standardize best practices.
  • Collaborate across Operations, Warehouse, Drivers, and Leadership teams.

Operational Performance & Profitability

  • Track KPIs (efficiency, labor, service, profitability) and provide actionable insights.
  • Align schedules with customer expectations and service standards.
  • Recommend improvements to drive scalability, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Communication & Continuous Improvement

  • Clearly communicate route updates and priorities.
  • Train teams on routing tools and processes.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across workflows and systems.

What You Bring

  • Experience in logistics, route planning, dispatch, transportation scheduling, or fleet operations.
  • Familiarity with VMS, route optimization, or fleet management systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of route efficiency, labor optimization, and operational performance.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven success driving KPI improvements through data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to varying regional logistics, service models, and operational needs.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with teams nationwide.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, reporting tools, and operational systems.
  • Experience in vending, food service, CPG, delivery, or field service logistics is a plus.
