Role Overview

The Good Eating Company is looking for a dynamic, hospitality‑obsessed General Manager to lead a premium, chef‑driven food program inside a fast‑moving corporate environment in New York City. If you’re energized by exceptional food, elevated service, and creating moments people actually remember, this is your stage.

In this role, you’ll run a multi‑concept dining operation that blends culinary creativity, operational excellence, and next‑level hospitality. You’ll shape the vibe, lead the team, partner with clients, and make sure every detail—from the food to the flow to the feel—is on point.

We’re looking for a hospitality‑first operator with strong business instincts, a love for fresh, seasonal food, and the ability to inspire teams in a high‑expectation, high‑energy NYC setting.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily hospitality operations — run café, pantry, catering, conference dining, and workplace hospitality with smooth, elevated, guest‑first execution

  • Deliver culinary and service excellence — champion freshness, presentation, and quality across every plate, pour, and moment

  • Strengthen client partnerships — be the go‑to partner for client leaders, anticipate needs, and bring creative, hospitality‑driven solutions

  • Drive financial performance — own the P&L, manage labor and costs, and make smart, data‑driven decisions that support both experience and profitability

  • Develop and inspire teams — hire, coach, and grow a team that’s engaged, inclusive, and proud of the work they do

  • Ensure safety and compliance — uphold all health, sanitation, labor, and company standards while building a culture where safety is second nature

What We Offer

Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training. Sodexo offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision Care and Wellness Programs
  • 401(k) Plan with Matching Contributions
  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
  • Career Growth Opportunities and Tuition Reimbursement

More extensive information is provided to new employees upon hire.

What You Bring

  • Hospitality‑first leadership — a natural ability to create warm, memorable guest experiences and elevate service culture

  • Operational excellence — experience running complex food operations with consistency, precision, and a calm, confident presence

  • Business acumen — strong financial skills, including P&L ownership, cost control, and data‑driven decision‑making

  • Team development expertise — a passion for coaching, mentoring, and building high‑performing, hospitality‑driven teams

  • Client partnership skills — the ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations

  • Adaptability and creativity — comfort navigating fast‑paced environments and designing fresh, innovative food and hospitality experiences
