Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager to join our food operations team at Gracedale County Home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. In this hands-on role you will report to the Executive Chef.  Will cook daily and oversee a team of approximately 8 culinary staff members. This is a great opportunity to grow your culinary career!  This position typically follows a 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. schedule, with every other weekend coverage.  

What You'll Do

  • oversee the daily food production serving approximately 550 skilled care residents;
  • assist with ordering and inventory management;
  • train and mentor cooks;
  • build strong client relationships while meeting the expectations of the client as well as Sodexo;
  • a strong supervisory/management skillset.

  • a background in food production ideally in a healthcare environment;
  • high volume food production experience;
  • strong knowledge of safety and sanitation;
  • knowledge of special diets;
  • experience training and mentoring a culinary team with exceptional human resource and supervisory skillset;
  • an enthusiasm for working with a diverse set of people and are confident and warm;
  • a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.
