Director, Regional Data Governor

Sodexo is seeking a Director, Regional Data Governor

The Regional Data Governor is the data-function role accountable for the application of Sodexo's Group Data Management Policy across North America.

The role is transverse — spanning every domain active in the region (Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Products, Sites, Finance Reference Data, and others as added) — and is hosted within the North America Data team.

The Regional Data Governor translates Group and domain standards into regional practice, embeds them into the systems and processes used in North America, and is the single point of regional accountability for governance performance, risk, and escalation.

This is a remote role with the preferred candidate able to work Eastern Standard time zone work hours.

• Proven ability to stand up and operate governance machinery — role register, regional council, issue queue, exceptions log
• Hands-on experience embedding governance into the SDLC: design reviews, data-quality acceptance criteria, release gates for classification and steward sign-off.
• Fluency translating Group standards into regional procedures Stewards and Custodians can actually follow.
• Track record brokering decisions across IT, Domain Governors, and Data Asset Owners without formal authority — using charters, RACIs, and escalation paths.
• Working knowledge of the tooling governance rides on — glossary, catalog, lineage, quality monitoring, access review

Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience: 10 years
Minimum Functional Experience: 7-10 years
