Sodexo is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian  to work at St. David's Heart Hospital of Austin, TXA 72-bed facility, Hearth Hospital is one of the highest-performing cardiovascular facilities in the nation, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. It features a comprehensive 24-hour emergency department; an Advanced Heart Failure Program, including two key therapies—extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and left ventricular assist device (LVAD).

What You'll Do

 
  • provide direct patient care (virtual and in-person) on inpatient units, with some outpatient coverage;
  • educate food & nutrition staff and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals as needed;
  • be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital-wide committees; and
  • assist in other initiatives as needed, including performance improvement, quality management, community events, and departmental tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as Sodexo and client needs
  • Drive performance improvement and quality management projects as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
