Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Food Service Manager  for Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is a 136-bed, five-story facility, our fifth acute care hospital, is foundational to Penn State Health’s community access strategy designed to ensure that the communities we serve are within 10 minutes of our primary care providers, 20 minutes of our specialty care services and 30 minutes of a Penn State Health acute care hospital.

What You'll Do

  • Managing cash positions throughout the store
  • Training and developing your store associates to encourage internal promotion
  • Preparing food and beverage orders for customers
  • Addressing customer concerns and ensuring guests are as happy as possible
  • Growing the store business by encouraging a positive and productive work environment

What You Bring

  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively; 
  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance; 
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; 
  • ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team; I
  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
  • demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC), Sodexo Menu Graphics (SMG), Catetrax and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
