Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Senior Manager, Construction Management to support a global pharmaceutical client across locations in Boston and Cambridge, MA. This senior leadership role is responsible for managing a high-volume portfolio of capital projects ranging from $50K–$1.5M, with 5–15 active projects at any given time. You will lead facilities-related construction and renovation projects within complex laboratory, office, and regulated life sciences environments while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget. The role requires strong client relationship management, operational leadership, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the client while driving project execution, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a highly visible role requiring strong business acumen, executive communication skills, and exceptional facilities project management expertise.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a concurrent portfolio of capital projects across laboratory, office, and facilities environments, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by anticipating needs, communicating proactively, and driving high levels of client satisfaction
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and support teams, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and career development
  • Manage project financials including budgets, forecasting, resource allocation, fee management, and profitability tracking
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, architects, and vendors while overseeing contract negotiations and project execution strategies
  • Develop and implement operational processes, project standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to support efficient project delivery

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of client-facing project and construction management experience
  • Proven experience managing facilities construction projects within pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, or regulated environments
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing diverse teams in fast-paced project environments
  • Strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, reporting, and financial controls
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PMP certification preferred, along with exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
