Role Overview

Sodexo Energy & Resources is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to support a Major Energy client in Houston, TX. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates in Engineering or Construction Management looking to start a career in project management, general contracting, or owner representation. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting project execution, coordinating with various teams, and tracking progress across the full project lifecycle. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals while building the skills needed to grow into a Project Manager. What You'll Do

  • Work in dynamic environment supporting a diverse portfolio of projects, spanning a wide range of scopes, complexities, and budgets-including infrastructure initiatives, tenant fit-outs, and security-related work
  • Support project coordination from planning through closeout, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycles
  • Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables to ensure schedules and goals are met
  • Assist in managing project documentation, including logs, reports, and technical records
  • Prepare and communicate project updates, including risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and cross-functional teams to execute project tasks
  • Participate in project meetings by coordinating logistics, documenting minutes, and tracking action items
  • Support cost tracking efforts, including assisting with estimates and change orders
  • Help ensure projects adhere to established schedules, plans, and communication strategies
  • Assist with administrative and coordination tasks such as scheduling, bid support, and reporting
  • Contribute to field activities during the project lifecycle to gain hands-on experience
  • Support project closeout activities and ensure proper documentation and record management
  • Develop problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills in a real-world project environment
  • Build strong communication and teamwork skills while working with diverse project teams
  • Stay organized and proactive while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management or a minimum of 2 years of construction management, estimating, or construction administration experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project) 
  • Experience working with Procore
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to identify and solve problems before they escalate, and anticipate future needs
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Acute attention to detail
