Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking it's next General Manager for K12 Food Service Operations in Shawnee, OK.  Candidates must possess strong client relations skills, budgetary management, USDA NSLP knowledge and employee engagement.   Duties will include but are not limited to budgets and P&L management, training, HR responsibilities and day to day food service operations including menu management, point of sales operations, ordering, nutritional software, vendor management and marketing.  This is an on-site position.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise front-of-house operations and food production staff.
  • Oversee purchasing and receiving of food and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory and perform data entry in the financial system.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and meet Sodexo standards.
  • Deliver high-quality food service and achieve company and client financial targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships.
  • Create strategic plans to drive operational success.
  • Foster a positive team environment and promote employee engagement.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Utilize automated systems for food inventory, ordering, and production management

  • Knowledge of K-12 nutrition programs and USDA regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
  • ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate’s degree with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
