Sodexo is seeking a full-time out-patient dietitian for The Queen's Clinical Weight Management Program Honolulu, Hawaii.. The dietitian will guide patients through personalized weight-loss and pre- or post-bariatric surgery nutrition plans.

What You'll Do

 

  • Assess patient health, lab results, and medical history
  • Develop customized medical nutrition therapy plans
  • Provide individual and group weight management counseling
  • Conduct pre- and post-surgery evaluations for bariatric candidates
  • Track patient progress and adjust diet plans as needed
  • Teach behavior modification techniques for sustainable eating
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team

What You Bring

  • A Registered Dietitian credential with prior experience specializing in outpatient metabolic and bariatric surgery, or willing to learn
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills, be a self-starter, and a team player
  • The ability to work well with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
