Role Overview

Sodexo is changing the way society sees Senior Living, one resident at a time. We are currently looking for a great Chef Manager to join our team of professionals at Bethany Home in Ripon, CA.  We are seeking innovative and passionate culinarians, to manage the culinary operations of our select senior living communities.This position requires early evenings and occassional weekend availability.  

What You'll Do

  • be responsible for the creation and development of innovative, inventive and ground-breaking menus;
  • daily, hands on execution of service.  Often on the line, assisting positions.
  • direct and manage kitchen operations and designated back of house staff;
  • ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;
  • control and ensure the company's and client's financial targets are achieved;
  • engage with peers, colleagues and patrons in a manner that invites interaction and feedback.

What You Bring

  • a passion for culinary arts, with a desire for creativity, a strong production background ideally in a healthcare setting;
  • demonstrated experience managing a culinary team and exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skillset;
  • commercial acumen and a good level of computer literacy;
  • expert level knowledge of compliance in food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
