Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for Sunrise Hospital located in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Sunrise Hospital is the largest acute care facility and comprehensive children's hospital in Nevada (900-bed Trauma Center).  This position is clinically focused and will provide nutritional care to a variety of inpatients, including the ICU.

What You'll Do

  • This position is clinically focused and will provide nutritional care to pediatric patients and a variety of inpatients, including the ICU
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain good time management skills, be a self-starter and a work well as a team player and independently
  • Develop strong relations with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;
  • Educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses; 
  • Work a rotating weekend schedule as needed;

What You Bring

  • A Registered Dietitian and licensed or eligible to obtain in NV
  • Have at least 2 years of prior acute care experience, ICU preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
