Role Overview

Join Sodexo as a GM/Chef Manager at Pinewood Preparatory School in beautiful Summerville, South Carolina, just minutes from historic Charleston. This position leads a high-quality culinary program in a premier independent school known for strong academics and a vibrant community. Reporting to the District Manager, you will oversee all aspects of dining operations, including culinary execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction while leading a small on-site team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily execution of culinary and dining operations
  • Oversee food production, menu planning, and quality standards
  • Manage inventory, food safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Drive financial performance, including budgeting and cost controls
  • Build, train, and engage a team of 6–8 employees 
  • Manage retail and catering programs while ensuring client satisfaction

  • Experience managing culinary or food service operations
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to create and manage budgets
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirements
  • Leadership experience with employee engagement and team development
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • ServSafe Certification (preferred or required)

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
