Role Overview

We’re looking for a Café Operations Manager to support daily operations at a high‑profile café in Mountain View, California. This role is perfect for a hospitality‑driven team member who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys helping others succeed, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Our goal is to become the premier workplace hospitality brand in North America. We care deeply about local products, culture, great food, and warm, thoughtful service. We’re seeking someone who shares that passion and brings a strong commitment to teamwork, consistency, and collaboration.

In this role, you’ll use your hands‑on operational skills, your ability to support daily execution, and your focus on guest satisfaction to help the café run smoothly. You’ll work closely with café leadership, support frontline team members, and ensure the environment stays welcoming, organized, and efficient.

Most importantly, you’ll bring your professional communication, your attention to detail, and your “can‑do” attitude — the qualities that help turn a good café into a consistently great experience for guests.

If you’re ready to grow your career, learn from experienced leaders, and be part of a brand that’s redefining workplace hospitality, this role gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

What You'll Do

  • Support daily café operations — Assist with opening, closing, service flow, cleanliness, and maintaining a welcoming guest environment.

  • Guide and support frontline staff — Provide hands‑on direction, answer questions, and help team members deliver consistent, high‑quality service.

  • Maintain product quality and presentation — Ensure food, beverage, and coffee items are stocked, fresh, and attractively displayed throughout the day.

  • Monitor inventory and supplies — Track stock levels, assist with ordering, and help reduce waste through accurate rotation and organization.

  • Support guest experience — Engage with guests, resolve issues quickly, and ensure the café feels warm, efficient, and well‑run.

  • Communicate with café leadership — Share updates, report operational needs, and help execute daily priorities set by management.

What We Offer

Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training. Sodexo offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision Care and Wellness Programs
  • 401(k) Plan with Matching Contributions
  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
  • Career Growth Opportunities and Tuition Reimbursement

More extensive information is provided to new employees upon hire.

What You Bring

  • Hands‑on hospitality experience — A background in café, food service, or customer‑facing environments where warm, consistent service matters.

  • Strong communication skills — Ability to communicate clearly with guests, teammates, and café leadership throughout the day.

  • Attention to detail — A sharp eye for cleanliness, product presentation, and the small touches that elevate the guest experience.

  • Operational reliability — Comfort supporting daily routines, following systems, and keeping the café organized and running smoothly.

  • Team‑support mindset — A collaborative approach that helps frontline staff feel supported, informed, and set up for success.

  • Positive, can‑do attitude — A friendly, energetic presence with the willingness to jump in, solve problems, and keep service moving.
