General Manager 2 of Conferences Service Needed in New York City, NY We are looking for an energetic and entrepreneurial Director of Conference Services to manage all on-site meetings for a large corporate center in New YorkCity. You will provide a centralized point of contact to manage the portfolio of over 400 meeting and event spaces, manage coordination of all meeting and conference-related services, including catering, media services, environmental security and facilities. Key Responsibilities:- Organize, execute and manage events - work with multiple departments on site for all events;such as IT, Culinary, and client- manage inventory and storage of equipment;- Conduct room inspections to appropriate service- Oversee the room reservation IT platform- Work with outside vendors and events that utilize the campus.The ideal candidate will have:- A proven track record of successful Conference/Hospitality Services leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments;- 2-4 years of Conference Services/Hospitality/Event Planning experience;- the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time;- coordinate with other departments such as catering, AV, IT and other departments at the university as well as outside vendors;- exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills;- strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building;- has strong financial acumen and budget management experience.Manage coordination of meeting and conference-related services, including catering, media services (A/V), environmental services (room set-up and breakdown), security, facilities, etc.- Perform room audit for spaces in Section B Meeting Room Information to ensure data for each space is accurate and current.- Oversee the Owner’s room reservation system and develop a simplified approach to meeting and event coordination- Conduct room inspections as needed and report issues to appropriate service departments.- Provide support services to forecast meetings and schedules, and manage communications with user group.

The position will be responsible for improving the maintenance plan to ensure reliability for all facility related assets by working with various internal and external groups to keep all critical equipment in excellent working condition at all times. This professional Reliability Engineer will have "root cause analysis" experience along with FMEA in their background. The Reliability Engineer should be familiar with the CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventative Action) process and be able to provide support to the business unit with resolution and closure of CAPA’s when applicable. Responsibilities include but not limited to the ability to assess the risks and foresee any areas that need to be recalibrated, life cycle engineering, PM optimization and creation, Site and equipment assessment, Equipment turn over and commissioning. The client site consists of 7 building with 1,500,000 square feet under contract. Equipment covered under this role include boilers, Gas Turbine generators, chillers, air compressors and other standard Facility and utility systems. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to develop and implement plans; experience working in a large plant and strong technical working knowledge in building systems such as HVAC, chillers, electrical systems, and Cogen plants. Experience with GMP’s (ISO experience is a suitable subsitute) working in a pharmaceutical or biotech plant a plus. #L
