Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager for our 18,000 sq. ft. facility The Food Operations Manager is responsible for daily fresh food manufacturing operations and production-related activities as it relates to the Off-Site Food Production Program. The site consists of a production facility for large batch food processing and preparation, multiple chilled-environment prep rooms for produce, work-in-progress (WIP) and protein production and a chilled-environment high-care packaging room.  This hands-on position is responsible for - Sanitation and general maintenance of food production facility.- Production planning by station.- Hourly labor planning.- Ensuring proper adherence to GMP and work flow processes.- Compliance with all State and Federal agency regulated Health, Food Safety and Safety codes. The role will direct, coach and mentor staff to develop methods to best meet production goals in addition to making processes more efficient. - Directs daily operations of production for off-site.- Ensures proper scheduling through demand planning, and that all employees are well trained in duties they perform.- Manages sanitation and facilities maintenance through effective scheduling and training of staff.- Provides support of other management positions as necessary.- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate.- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo policies and procedures (e.g., quality assurance, safety, operations, personnel).- Establishes a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and by ensuring compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and with standards and procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials and/or waste.- Manages the budget by controlling costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, materials), complying with budget requirements and making adjustments when necessary.Is this the right opportunity for you?  We are looking for candidates that have/are:- Experience in FDA/USDA monitored environments and/or GFSI experience. - Knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing production software, food safety systems, supply chain and logistics systems.- Experience in the manufacturing production of fresh food across multiple categories- sandwiches, salads, wraps, parfaits, grain bowls, snack boxes, pre-cut produce and fruit, large batch preparation of proteins, sauces, soups and others.- Understanding of various cooking, prepping and packaging techniques- Broad knowledge of standards of manufacturing technology, equipment, food safety, organizational development/management, finance and employee relations- Knowledge of end-to-end production software, food safety systems, supply chain and logistics systems.- Ability to introduce new systems and functionality as business needs change.- Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, Process Improvement certification preferred.- Excellent organizational, leadership, motivational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.- A successful track record of being able to establish and achieve performance goals and objectives for safety, quality, cost control, manufacturing efficiency, process development and staff retention.- Food contract service experience a plus and fresh food meal service is desirable- A proven track record of successful hiring, building, motivating, training, and developing solid teams- Demonstrates a positive attitude and ability to motivate, inspire and positively communicate goals and objectives to our global network of team members- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and quick problem-solving- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially a firm understanding of Excel, ERP and/or CRM systems to compile detailed analytics, presentations, project and plans- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and acceptance of diversity- Results-driven, strategic with the ability to execute plans successfully and efficiently- Leadership in a union environment- Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus At Sodexo, we believe every employee should have the resources to be their best. Are you seeking a rewarding and challenging career that allows you to make a difference?  Sodexo Senior Living has a current Food Operations Manager 1 opportunity at Riverwoods Senior Living Community located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.  Riverwoods is an upscale continuing care retirement community with over 250 residents.  This Food Operations Manager will oversee the food service operations for mainly skilled care, serving approximately 100 residents, and will assist with other areas as needed.  Will interface with residents and the client on a daily basis and will lead a team of approximately 20 hourly employees.  Typical shift will be  8:00am - 5:00pm, may vary with some weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will: - motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly-paid), staff; - provide stellar customer service;- ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed; - manage the dining room operations for skilled care residents. Is this opportunity right for you?
