Full time ancillary outpatient pediatric dietitian, CDE or interest in obtaining. Will start off supporting Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Respiratory, hematology/oncology, and adolescent medicine specialty practices. Strong pediatric experience required.  Ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working toward becoming a CDE. This position is affiliated with UofL Health, an integrated regional academic health system leading research in the state and nation, and consisting of hospitals, medical centers, physician practices, oncology and acute rehab services.The local Sodexo team of dietitians working at UofL Health includes over 25 inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, oncology and bariatric dietitians. The successful candidate will:- Have 3 years’ work experience as a Registered Dietitian in acute or ambulatory care- Be Certified Diabetes Educator credential or 2 years’ experience in direct diabetes education and must pass exam within 6 months of eligibility- Utilize evidence-based clinical standards of care to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients. Follows established standards of practice and guidelines defined by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and American Diabetes Association.- Have comprehensive knowledge of current diabetes medical nutrition therapy, self-management education and diabetes prevention.- Provided direct education regarding self-management of diabetes and nutrition care to individuals and groups in person and via tele-health platforms. CHOG is part of Augusta University Medical Center – the academic health center for the Medical College of Georgia. This Level IV NICU has 46 licensed NICU beds and serves infants as young as 22 to 24 weeks gestational age with pediatric medical and pediatric surgical specialty consultants to provide the most advanced care. We are looking for a dedicated, experienced NICU dietitian to add to our exceptional team.  The Neonatal ICU Dietitian (NICU) will:- Provide coverage to the NICU unit - Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounding- Be involved in quality improvement projects and precept internship dietetic internship students - Provide neonatal nutrition support and conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments- Provide education to patients, as well as staff and work well with physicians, nursing, lactation consults, occupational and speech therapists, and other ancillary staff The ideal candidate will:- Have 3 years of Registered Dietitian experience with at least 2 years of pediatric experience, preferably in a NICU.- Have strong leadership skills, time management and organizational skills- Possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups- Some weekends or holidays may be required- Be eligible for GA Dietitian licensure- Have active registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration - Preferably, have a Master’s Degree, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) or Certified Specialist in Pediatric (CSP) credential Is this opportunity right for you?
