Through your leadership, your team will make a real impact every day. Sodexo Live! is growing and is part of an exciting new venture supporting a large commissary kitchen operation that delivers thousands of ready to eat meals to our local clients. We are seeking a Purchasing Manager (Food & Beverage) for our Atlanta Commissary.  This is a high-volume opportunity managing procurement for multiple airport club/lounge food and beverage units.  The position will report to the Commissary General Manager, and will provide purchasing solutions and compliance within our premier client’s airport private club locations.  The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for:- Consistent food & beverage, new products, equipment & supplies, optimizing purchasing compliance;- Working as a liaison with vendors and suppliers to assist in resolving sourcing, logistics and delivery details;- Identifying, evaluating and procuring the highest quality ingredients and equipment for client partners;- Optimizing inventory levels;- Working within approved vendor lists and;- Working directly with internal food operations and culinary staff to ensure appropriate purchasing levels.The best qualified candidate will have:- Prior culinary background/management background with experience purchasing food and beverage at the unit level (multi-unit preferred);- Strong analytical and forecasting skills;- Experience with purchase ordering systems;- Familiarity with VDA rebate systems, Sysco and/or US Foods;- Experience with MS Office programs, including Excel;- The ability to communicate and work efficiently with a large staff and internal/external vendors;- Prior experience monitoring par levels.Sodexo offers a full array of benefits including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision, 401K and access to ongoing training and development programs, tuition reimbursement, plus health and wellness programs. Working for Sodexo:At Sodexo, you will find the ingredients for a great career in food service management. It is a 500 bed facility with a retail volume of 3.5 million plus annually. Sodexo is running AYR - At Your Request patient meal delivery program. Sodexo runs the food service for the Doctors Lounge along with over 1 million in Catering volume. This position will coordinate the activities of buyers and support staff engaged in purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery and supplies in the organization.   They will prepare instructions regarding purchasing policies and procedures and directs purchasing programs accordingly. They will also establish procedures to accomplish the procurement of a variety of materials in a cost effective manner The successful candidate will:- Manage, supervise and motivate Sodexo team/staff by providing training and counseling to promote 100% work efficiency daily.- Assist in managing pricing structure to meet food cost goals- Guarantee systems for the best price/value for products such as: High value fish, meat, poultry, specialties, dairy, fruit, produce and basic MRO supplies.- Create and monitor reports with variable year and seasonality prices input in order to create the most cost effective high-end menus together with operations- Analyze procurement and financial data in conjunction with the Supply Chain Director for opportunities including supplier rationalization, tenders, aggregation and specification alternatives- Review purchase requisitions, obtain competitive quotes and plan purchase orders- Monitor and resolve supplier performance and business issues that may occur to ensure food safety compliance, HACCP regulations and FDA regulations- Prepares purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.- Tracks purchasing activity and discusses defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.- Ensures safety requirements are followed by Sodexo company regulations- Liaise with Accounts Payable Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier.Is this opportunity right for you?
