Establish and continuously review performance standards, goals and objectives.- Manage the hiring and performance management, and professional development process for frontline hourly team members- Manage budget for the entire Grounds Program, purchasing, repair, materials- Manage external vendors- Interact with University Administration including the Campus Vice President of Operations and Finance- Knowledge of Baseline Irrigation Systems a plus- Schedule and perform routine inspections of all campus grounds and landscape to ensure quality- Manage seasonal plantings and pesticide applications- Work closely with athletic deptartment to prepare and maintain ~10 acres of athletic fields for both grass and synthetic fields- Execute and update yearly the campus snow removal plan, manage maintenance of snow removal process and equipment- Ensure all grounds and facilities vehicles and equipment are maintained to a safe and serviceable condition and workshop facilities are kept clean and tidy- This position will act as the facilities fleet manager- Present a professional personal appearance, firmly enforcing service staff uniforms, personal protective equipment, and other safety gear that reflects the University image and brand- Certification in pesticide application preferred- Experience with management of recycling program preferredRequirements- Preferred 3 years of Grounds leadership experience preferred- Understanding of large mowers and grounds equipment maintenance as well as hand-held equipment including trimmers, edgers, seeders and more- Experience working with and maintaining sports fields both natural grass and synthetic preferred- Pond management and maintenance experience preferred- Knowledge with hard scapes, machinery and fencing strongly preferred- Computer literacy as well as excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills Working for Sodexo:How far will your ambition, talent and dedication take you?
