Also providing support with lab services tasks, including receiving and delivering packages, while maintaining a high level of customer service to assure that the research community has the necessary resources it needs to succeed.This position will have full oversight of lab operations, and 4 materials delivery workers.   Key Responsibilities Include:  - Verify items against carrier's bill of lading/tracking information, scans and sorts packages to be delivered to the laboratories and administrative areas- Deliver packages to various labs and administrative areas using department van, push cart, forklift or pallet jack. Clerks are required to scan packages using Package Tracking System- Support daily inter-site package delivery to all sites following the established routes- Segregate waste streams according to hazard classifications and ensure labeling is completed per RCRA guidelines- Prepare waste manifests/BOL for shipping waste off-site- Collect and replace hazardous waste solvent containers from labs for disposal, and maintain identity of the container into the 90 storage room- Adherence to hazardous waste storage regulations- Collect and prepare all hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and PPE waste for incineration, disposal or processing for shipment - Collect regulated medical waste containers and prepare shipments for disposal following waste disposal and transportation regulations- Collect Hazardous/Non-hazardous perishable research samples, equipment and supplies from the labs to be processed- Collect empty chemical reagent containers and scan out barcodes from the chemical inventory tracking system- Support the inventory, ordering, and replenishment of the solvent storage bunkers.- Daily dry ice replenishment to the laboratories - Deliver compressed gasses to labs and disconnect/connect regulators as requested - Support the collection of lab equipment for asset disposition and supply office moving boxes as requested- Provide administrative support related to answering phones, answer lab support related customer service requests and completion of department paperwork including keeping metrics on all waste stream/deliveries- Provide GMP cleaning/sanitization support where needed- Provide guidance and manage a team or an operation with assistance from management- Perform safety and compliance inspections- Manage vendors and conduct vendor inspections ensuring processes are correctly followed- Assist in training new employees on job duties- Ensures job tasks are being performed within the guidelines of team JSA’s Is this opportunity right for you?
